Meow Productions had a personal-care line and nothing around it. Skincare in India is a crowded shelf and most of it is sold the same way — a clinical claim, a pastel bottle, a promise about ingredients.
So the proposal answered a different question: what does this look like if it behaves like a fashion house rather than a pharmacy.
- Built the identity on a single monogram — an A with a full stop, held in a frame, so it works stamped on a bottle and sitting in a nav bar without redrawing.
- Art-directed the whole thing in black and white, with the product nearly absent. The category sells a sensation, not a bottle.
- Led the storefront with fragrance instead of function — bergamot, vetiver, neroli, each with its own image and note, so browsing feels like choosing a scent rather than comparing SKUs.
- Wrote the navigation in the brand's own vocabulary — Ethos, La-People, Journal — rather than About, Community, Blog.
- Laid the page out in one continuous pass, hero through to sign-up, so the client could judge the scroll rather than a deck of disconnected screens.
A complete first-version proposal: the mark, the art direction and the full storefront page.
Presented as one continuous design, which is how it would actually be experienced.
