Neurobloom — real-time recommendations for Shopify stores

Neurobloom had an engine and no face — a personalisation product for Shopify stores, aimed at merchants who already know exactly what Amazon's recommendations feel like, and nothing to show them but a description of one.

Pre-launch is its own problem. Nothing to demo, no numbers to quote, no customers to name. The page has to make an unbuilt thing feel inevitable and turn that into a waitlist.

  • Built the identity from the name up. The mark does double duty as the first letter of the wordmark, so the logo and the logotype are one object rather than two things sitting next to each other.
  • Set the whole thing on near-black with violet and cyan carrying the weight — the promise is machine intelligence, and the palette had to say so without the copy having to.
  • Anchored the page to the one reference every Shopify merchant already has. The headline borrows Amazon's recognition instead of explaining the technology behind it.
  • Made the abstract concrete with rendered 3D: a data terrain under the hero, isometric scenes on the capability cards, a figure standing inside a personalised storefront. A product with no screenshots still needed something to look at.
  • Gave every section the same single call to action. A pre-launch page has one job, and splitting attention costs signups.
  • Left a design kit behind, so the launch site and the app interface get built from the same components rather than redrawn from the picture.

A complete pre-launch presence: identity, logo, the page itself, and the kit behind it.

The mark holds from favicon through to hero lockup without a redraw.

One call to action, repeated at every scroll depth, with nothing competing for the click.
